The site also explores how technology is affecting journalism, with an emphasis on how the Internet can help all journalists better do their jobs.
The site features a Great Work Gallery of outstanding online journalism; a Weblog Blog that tracks Weblogs’ impact on journalism; the CyberJournalist List of Weblogs written by journalists; and the CyberJournalist SuperSearch newsgathering tool. welcomes and incorporates tips, comments and other contributions from readers. About the Editor & Publisher is edited and published by Jonathan Dube, an award-winning online and print journalist who founded the site in 2000.
Dube is the Director of Digital Programming for CBC News. He also writes a weekly column and occasionally teaches for The Poynter Institute; serves on the board of the Online News Association as Second Vice President; and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Citizen Media.
Previously, he served as Editorial Director for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Web site,;’s managing producer and technology editor; a national producer for; a writer for The Charlotte Observer; and a stringer for The New York Times. He’s won six Society of Professional Journalists awards, and his coverage of the 1999 World Trade Organization riots in Seattle won ONA’s first-ever Online Journalism Award for Breaking News.
